Developing Social Media Content at Degrees of Change

In September 2022, I started a work-study with Degrees of Change as a Seed Internships Program Intern. As part of my responsibilities, I created branded content for the company’s social media sites using Canva. Content included graphics for announcements, countdowns, informative tips, employer partnerships, and general recruiting posts. I also helped to create some of the Seed Internships Instagram reels.

Summary

  • Created 7 graphics or reels a month using Canva for Degrees of Change social media sites

  • Developed 5 strategies for recruitment of program participants on the UW Tacoma campus

  • Gave 5 presentations to classes and clubs as part of recruitment

  • Contacted and worked with 25 university departments, clubs, and general prospects

  • Helped run the Seed Internships booth for 2 university career fairs

  • Wrote a personal piece for the Degrees of Change Newsletter
